Skiing isn’t what it used to be. You can blame the conglomerate, you can blame the pandemic or you can blame social media, but gone are the days of quiet Saturdays and secret powder stashes on the mountain. Today, it’s not uncommon for lift lines measured in half-hours, parking lots full before sunrise, and finding a seat to enjoy a mid-day beer on the mountain is literally winning the lottery.
