Exactly what you would expect. Material is so thin it makes me nervous. Perfectly waterproof though warms you up a bit too. As a light use just in case this is perfect.
Got this jacket when I ordered my Seventy2. I wouldn't take this out in a downpour but as far as packability and warmth, its amazing. Small size, can be stuffed with literally anything for insulation, and has kept me as warm as my expensive puffy. This jacket just stays in the saddlebag of my motorcycle.
I also received this from a Battlbox and have only used when going to the store in the rain. Always seemed waterproof for those short moments. Just this past week I was out in medium/light rain with my dog and started to feel some areas get wet and soak through. All less than an hour of being outside. Everything else seems great with the jacket. Just not waterproof.
I walked in the rain for over an hour, and initially the water shed off very well, and I was very happy. After about an hour the water started soaking through and I wasn't very happy. I was over a mile away from my home when I noticed the water soaking through. Needless to say it was a cold wet walk home and I was soaked at the end of it. I got this product through battlbox and I wanted so very much to like it. In places the product is described as water resistant, and in others it is described as water proof. This needs to be cleared up. It did everything else it says it does very well. Insulated and keeps warm just as advertised. I just wish it would stay dry in the rain longer. I feel that for $80 the product should do better.
This is great for adventurers but how about my using it for walking the dogs?!! AM and PM weather changes require an insulated vest topped off with the Hideaway that holds TREATS and other doggy necessities....Woman's sizing???
