If you’re anything like us, your dog is family. Frustrated with dog packs that never stay on, overheat, and frankly annoy your pup, we set out to build Man’s Best Friend’s Best Friend. A lightweight, durable first aid kit to protect against cuts, bites, stings and more.
We designed this collar not to be 24-7 but something you slip on before an adventure. Because of this, we utilize Fidlock technology providing a self-securing, quick attachment with double the strength of conventional buckles. The collar itself is military-grade nylon construction, with an included handle on the larger size collar. The 1.5” width helps distribute weight around the neck when under strain. The stainless metal V-ring provides easy attachment to a collar and the metal Fidlock uses magnets for quick fastening and removal.
Inspired by a real life emergency
The Wolf Pack was inspired by our mascot, Barron - a 115 pound Swiss Mountain dog who lives for the trails. A few winters ago, Barron was hit by a ski while touring, where his dad (aka Uncharted Founder Christian Schauf), used an Uncharted Triage Kit to apply a makeshift tourniquet to Barron's leg. At the vet an hour later, Christian's duct tape, zip tie, blood-stopping contraption was credited for saving Barron's life, and the idea for a dog-specific first aid kit emerged.

Since then, we've been making small tweaks to create a more dynamic and sturdy pouch that's comfortable for a larger number of breeds.

What size do I need?
The wolf pack comes in two main sizes, both adjustable for a snug fit. Our M/L measures 16.5" - 20.5" around the neck, generally fitting breeds like border collies or boxers. Our L/XL measures 20.5" to 23.5", which fits bigger breeds like german shepherds or swiss mountain dogs.
Our grab handle is only included on the L/XL collar.
If your pooch is in between, we recommend sizing up.

This thing seems super durable. It's light enough that it's comfortable for the dog to wear around, but still contains enough items that you can treat most situations the dog might need.

I got this for a friend who has a big dog and they go camping and on all kinds of adventures. She loved it! She is a veterinary tech and showed it to her boss, who was very taken with it as well. They are putting a link to Uncharted on their web site to let people know about it. Go Wolf Pack!

What a fantastic idea and execution. I would say 4.5 stars but felt it was worth the round-up. Brownie always wears this collar now.
Definitely size up if your dog is close to the upper end of the range (I wish I did). The hook and loop softer side is facing the fur if you have to extend out far enough for it to be exposed (again, size up). The additional little mesh pouch is great for storing a couple waste bags and acts as a keeper for the strap end when collar fully expanded.
The collar will need a little breaking in because the contents are crammed in the plastic bag inside, making the pouch a little stiff and the collar not very rounded. I wanted to keep the plastic bag inside for when contents need to be removed and kept together, but wanting the collar to stay on. A little reorg of the contents, some bending of the collar at the pouch and it’s pretty close to fitting right. I may switch to a sandwich baggie for more flexibility.
Appreciated the little med info/how-to card that is included as well. I suggest reviewing and understanding the contents before deploying the kit. You never know when you’ll need it.
Couple small wishes: blaze orange, gray or coyote color option in the future and a spot to velcro on name tape or patch.
