PRODUCT LINE MANAGER

As Product Line Manager at Uncharted Supply co, you are responsible for overseeing and managing our assortment of products. Your primary goal is to drive the success of the product line by developing and executing strategic plans, ensuring product quality, and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Development:

  • Develop and execute the overall product strategy
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with our internal team to conceptualize, design, and develop new products.

Line Management:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to product launch.
  • Assess and optimize the existing product portfolio to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Make data-driven decisions regarding product enhancements, updates, or discontinuation.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product improvements.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the budget for the product line, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Set pricing strategies based on market analysis, cost considerations, and competitive positioning.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and purchasing.
  • Communicate product strategies, goals, and performance metrics to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and information to effectively market and sell the products.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling product messaging and promotional materials.

Forecasting and Inventory Management:

  • Work with purchasing and finance to forecast product demand accurately.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience as a Product Line Manager or similar role
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of outdoor gear products and market trends.

Pay flexible based on experience.

Part time or full time, depending on availability.

EVENT & TRADE SHOW SALES REP

Description

Attend trade shows to demonstrate and sell products to an audience. Sets up booths, demonstrates product uses, answers questions, and disassembles booth at the end of the show.

You will be attending trade shows on weekends throughout the months of June, July, and September.

Essential Functions

  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our product offerings.
  • Demonstrate confidence and communication skills in order to build positive relationships with customers.
  • Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives will need to set up/tear down the booth and transport products/materials.
  • Communication skills to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers.
  • Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and address their needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Communicate marketing material needs and sales ideas.
  • Attention to detail at booth: product displays, storage organization, promo materials, etc.
  • Be mindful of customer sentiment around Uncharted products and relay information to the Uncharted team to drive improvements for future Events.
  • Must be comfortable and mindful when taking customer payments via handheld POS system.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving 12ft-16ft box trucks.
  • Live in or within a reasonable range of Park City, Utah.

Compensation

$16 per hour + 5% commission on sales
