Subject Matter ExpertDr. Eric Meyer, from Steamboat Springs, CO is one of the premier mountain climbers in the world and has served as a high-altitude medical advisor to some of the most challenging expeditions ever attempted. He has multiple summits of Mt. Everest, including without oxygen, and was one of the survivors of the 2008 tragedy on K2, which cost 11 elite climbers their lives. Eric spent much of that time serving in a rescue capacity, and is credited with saving several lives. In addition to climbing, Eric owns a company that flies doctors to remote areas of the country to provide specialized care to small communities. An avid yogi, skier and mountain biker, Eric’s a guy you want around with when the going gets tough.
